What Service We Provide

Structure from Motion technology can both replace, and improve on, traditional survey techniques; A scaled Reality Model ensures full data capture, and is accessible by all parties as a 3D visual experience.

Structure from Motion combines the science of Photogrammetry and Computer Vision to generate three-dimensional, analytical models from a series of photographs. In recent years it has seen an uprising in the survey community as a tool which can transform simple imagery, from UAV or Terrestrial sensors, into georeferenced Pointcloud or Reality Mesh models. This translates into a photo realistic model which can be used for both visualisation and extracting geometric information. The benefits of adopting this method of capturing and presenting data makes the transition inevitable as it improves collaboration, reduces costs, and prevents data being misinterpreted.

SfM Reality Capture

SfM Reality Model

By combining imagery with our specialist software we can produce 3D Reality models of almost any subject. The output file can be viewed on any PC with the free viewer we provide. The client can interrogate and inspect the data by navigating 360 degrees using the simple navigation bar. Furthermore, the scaled model allows distance, surface, and volume measurements to be taken.

SfM CAD Modelling

Once the base model is rendered we can take things a step further by modelling the Reality data into a 3D CAD file consisting of lines, surfaces and solids. This gives clients the option to edit the model in AutoCAD or similar software. We can tailor the deliverable and produce drawings to meet your needs.

SfM Utilities Surveys

Applying SfM technology to utility surveys ensures full data capture; this enables us to extract information such as pipe diameters, invert levels and cable information further down the line. Furthermore, the photorealistic quality gives clients the opportunity to inspect the condition of the chamber walls or perhaps identify cables without the need to attend site.

All Utility models are georeferenced and multiple models can be combined into a larger CAD file to produce a below ground photorealistic model for an entire area/project.

We offer a 3D CAD modelling service which we can build upon to create an evolving 3D buried services model in either .DGN or .DWG format.

To push forward with innovation, our bespoke Augmented Reality service allows our clients to take the CAD model on site via a hand held tablet... Point the camera towards the floor and the buried services will be displayed in front of you.
